Week One: Taking A Walk

After an introduction to this module, we was asked to 'take a theory for a walk'. I decided to use the word 'atmosphere'. Week One

After our introduction to the module, the studio joined together for slow readings, drawings and discussions on Vibrant Matter - Jane Bennet and New Materialist thinking. We engaged in playful drawings, ways of thinking, and conversations between place, site, bodies, materials, text, and drawn actions. This first studio session was a great and creative start to the module and this second teaching block, it also helped me to understand different ways of thinking and how to represent place, materials, site, bodies in a more creative playful manner. I believe that my work this teaching block will build upon my Wymering Manor work in terms of scenography and the idea of sets in a more playful, creative, and potentially abstract way.  Photos obtained from the universities interior architecture and design Instagram account; www.instagram.com www.instagram.com
