Week Five: Mappings

Today our group presented our mapping of the PO3 area. Earlier in the week, our group discussed how we would split up the work, we agreed that;

• Laura (me): produce the maps
• Naahzat: Pheonix building research
• Archana: Merlin Park research
• Calvina: Hilsea Lines research
• Sophie: Presenting to class
• Nasreen: Research on PO3 area
• Emily: Researching green spaces

I decided to use Digimaps as a starting point for the maps, using photoshop, I produced four different maps of the PO3 area showing the empty buildings, surrounding demographics, main roads and train routes, and green spaces; 

I decided to do the maps this way as it made it easier for the group to work with them, as well as it made the maps easier to read and understand. I unfortunately was unable to attend todays presentation, but from discussing with my group, it was successful and all went well.
